How We Evaluate Condition

Every item offered by Maison Reve is individually reviewed before it is listed. Our aim is simple: the piece you receive should match the piece you see, described in language you can trust.

We assess each object across a consistent set of points — the exterior and interior surfaces, hardware, stitching, closures, edges and, where relevant, movement and function. Notable characteristics are photographed rather than concealed, so the condition is legible at a glance.

We grade condition conservatively and describe it plainly. Where a piece shows signs of prior ownership, we say so and show it. Where a piece is exceptional, we let the photographs make the case.

This is what 'curated with confidence' means to us: not a promise that every piece is flawless, but a promise that every piece is honestly represented.
